delicious, satisfying and full of flavor. The inspiration for their delicious gluten-free soup mixes traces back
to the island of Nantucket, where the often cool, damp weather invites
you to enjoy a warm, inviting pot of soup. Starting with favorite family
recipes and classic New England favorites, Bountiful Pantry has
created dozens of delicious & satisfying recipes in their kitchen
that are now available to warm up your belly!
Get a hearty gluten-free soup 5-pack at 34% off retail price. Check out the deal here from Gluten Free Saver (free shipping!)
Each package makes 8 servings and only takes minutes to prepare! Choose from flavors such as Farmhouse Chowder, "Chicken" Soup with Veggie & Gluten Free Pasta or Curried Carrot & Potato.
Every mix is made from healthy, all natural ingredients. There is no
added salt or MSG, no preservatives and almost all are gluten free (only 3 are not)!
I was able to speak to the owner directly about their gluten free practices and this is what she said. "The gluten free mixes are prepared on separate equipment in a separate room. The only wheat currently used is in pasta for 3 soup mixes: Pasta e Fagioli, Moroccan Lentil and Tuscan Minestrone. The pasta is packed in separate sealed bags, then added to the mixes as a sealed component. Once they're packed (even though it is in a separate area)... they go through a thorough tear-down and scrub". ...WOW
Available in the Boston area at the following locations:
Whole Foods in Fresh Pond, Cambridge
Wilson Farms in Lexington
Russo's in Waltham
Verrill Farm in Concord
CityFeed In Jamacia Plain (somewhat limited selection)
Before you go to any of these... please call first to see what they currently have in stock.

Fun Fact: For years Bountiful Pantry has been providing their mixes to Plimoth Plantation. They put a different label on the front, it has illustrations of Plantation sites on the label, but they are identical mixes!

Alexia Foods Allergn Info
We understand how important
it is for people who have been medically diagnosed with gluten
sensitivity to obtain accurate information about our food to help plan
their meals and diets. And we continue to look for ways to meet the
dietary needs of our consumers.
Since wheat is a major food allergen, if it is used in the product it would be listed in the contains statement following the ingredients list. The flour used in many of our products is wheat flour and you should avoid these products if you have gluten sensitivities. If any ingredient in the product includes rye or barley, it will be listed in parentheses immediately following the ingredient. Oats do not contain gluten, but they frequently have been exposed to wheat or barley and are not recommended for celiac patients. If Natural Flavors, Artificial Flavors, or Spices listed in the ingredients list contain wheat, rye or barley, these ingredients would be listed in parenthesis immediately following the ingredient. Some fermented or distilled products such as vinegar may be derived from wheat. Most of the vinegar in our products is distilled and through the distilling process protein gluten is removed.
With exception to Alexia Potato Bites, we are pleased to tell you that our potato (this does not include the onion ring products or Appetizer Variety Pack)products do not contain gluten. However, due to an expansion in our production, we now employ a facility where products containing wheat are also produced. While our products are produced on dedicated lines, our packaging will carry the following advisory:
Produced in a facility that may manufacture other items containing wheat.
Understanding the concerns that many gluten sensitive consumers have with cross-contamination, great precautions are taken to effectively clean the equipment in between production runs in accordance with organic and kosher guidelines. We cannot, however, guarantee that there will not be trace cross-contamination.
As products are produced in the new facility the Gluten Free statement on the package will be removed. If you find any packages that have the Gluten Free statement, they were produced at the time the facility was indeed gluten free.
We always advise consumers who may have sensitivities to recheck the ingredient list on each package. Products are oftentimes reformulated and the ingredients may change. If you have additional questions about your personal dietary needs, please consult your doctor or a registered dietitian.

3 Tools for Finding Gluten-Free Restaurants in Your Neighborhood
by Max LibrachSome think they know what it means to be gluten-free, but as we’ve discussed before, most don’t know, so they aren’t strict enough with their cooking and serving standards.
Luckily for you, there are some essential tools that will help you to find the gluten-free restaurants in your area and will help you determine which restaurants have gluten-free menus and well-trained staff.
So, I'll take you through my three favorite methods for finding the best places to dine out and find truly gluten-free restaurants.
- Gluten-Free Travel Site – Submit a review, search through reviews, look at menus, and even download their app Dine Gluten Free in order to find nearby gluten-free restaurants. Planning a trip somewhere? Pop the zip code into the website and see all of the restaurants with gluten-free options pop up. Imagine how nice it would be to head out on vacation or for a visit to distant family and have a long list of gluten free places that you can eat! This site lets you search by state, country, zip code, or town, and then read reviews to pick and choose from the very best.
- Triumph Dining – Triumph Dining’s Essential Gluten-Free Restaurant Guide contains more than six thousand listings, it directs travelers to the most reliable gluten-free establishments in all 50 states, and even updates each year to ensure accuracy. Because they’ve also been studying the subject of gluten-free eating for the past eight years, they can offer expert advice about dining out and remaining gluten-free. The restaurant guide even includes lists of the gluten-free options for popular national chain restaurants too!
- Follow Your Local Bloggers – When I want to find a good gluten-free meal in the city of Boston, I visit GlutenFreeBostonGirl.com, a blog run by local gluten-free expert, Jessica Dennis. She offers her readers a comprehensive guide to Boston's gluten free restaurants and bakeries. Not from Boston? No problem! Most major metropolitan areas are loaded with bloggers who enjoy sharing their gluten-free findings with local followers.
